No'a Winter Lazarus
(musical composer for It Begins And Ends With A Fall)
From Indie and Alt to Neo-Classical to Ambient and Spectral Sound Sculpting, No'a dances with many genres, instruments and styles.
His work has been used for the DVD releases of the films 300, Watchmen, The Brave One and A Scanner Darkly. He has composed for films and series on PBS, Discovery Channel and with major advertising and promotional projects. He has worked on several projects with director Ondi Timmoner, the only two time Sundance Award winning director and with two-time Emmy Award winning and twice Academy Award nominated director, Jonathan Stack.
No'a is Grammy nominated for his work in music recording and production and has ten worldwide gold and platinum awards for work with artists from across the globe. He has worked on two Sundance Award winning films, DIG! and "FUEL".
He has completed the sophisticated demo stage of a new theatrical musical called “Ian Forest” with performer/writer Tony Moss and completed his graduate degree in April 2011 and now has an M.A. in Consciousness Studies.
He also performs "Live Scoring" at events with tremendous audience response and is planning new live performance concepts for the new Dome Theater in Los Angeles. And he can be seen as one half of “The Housepainters” along with artist Louis Cannizzaro. Louis paints found objects while No'a creates with found sounds.
As co-creator of the Art of Sound label, he works to marry artists and artwork with composers and musicians. He has completed a new project called “Rad Files” for the Art of Sound label and explains it as - “An exploration into the distortions of beauty, the rhythms of chance and the answers just out of reach”.
He continues working on his own recording and new scoring projects from his home studio, “Voice of the Silence Sound”.
