Live Performances & Fundraisers
The stories have been produced as staged readings through an ever-rotating cast of talented performers and gypsies (and, at times, with the help of directors like LAByrinth Theater Company's Scott Illingworth and ARTBARN's Jess K Smith), who donated their time and talents to create a unique recipe. Each performance was a fundraiser for a different cause. The preparation was simple. The performers were assembled, the stories were divvied out, music was added with a dash of light and shadow effects and a rehearsal or two. And, finally, a heaping dose of magic from whatever space we happened to be in was mixed with the magic of the assembled group. A donation bucket/box/table/what-have-you was put out and...VOILA! Just like that, we had a unique, warm and vibrant show that thrived in the togetherness of being there for a common purpose.

Space On White Theatre. New York, NY. January 31, 2010.
Featuring Shane Portman, Dave Droxler with tech help from Chelsey Shannon. This was the first fundraiser. It was done as a surprise to raise money for medical bills for Shane's fiancé, Ruth Gamble. Other fundraisers were done for Ruth in conjunction with this one in Pittsburgh, Los Angeles and Chicago. Each performance was recorded and sent with the funds raised as a surprise to Ruth in LA. There are so many people to thank for this endeavor because it sparked it sparked all the other performances.
